An example of a typical reinforced concrete I-section beam weakened by a larger circular opening in the middle of the span. The model is done as a cut-off of, e.g., a girder. Such a structure is typically designed in precast industrial buildings. The model is designed and code-checked in the IDEA StatiCa Detail application.
