The link now works for a wide variety of connections/joints. However, please take into account the yet unsupported functionality:
Limitation: You can not mix for example AISC code with European materials.
Workaround: When exporting joints or members, the Design code has to be the same type as Materials, used in the structure.
Limitation: To be able to receive the internal forces from the non–linear analysis to IDEA StatiCa is important to keep the following rules.
Workaround: At first, we need to run the linear analysis.
Subsequently, we can run the non–linear analysis. This process guarantees that we will import the internal forces from combinations and load cases from Axis VM to IDEA StatiCa.
Limitation: Members are imported along with non-existing connections.
Workaround A: Delete Connections
Delete imported members, delete intermediate connections, (merge members), and create members again
Workaround B: Change setting in AxisVM
This division occurs due to mesh settings in AXIS:
- Division can be adjusted in mesh parameters for element
- Division is recommended for non-linear calculations in Axis
