A lot of engineers face sometimes a situation when code-checks of the reinforced concrete beam are not fulfilled and no change of the cross-section or dimensions is permitted. In this webinar, we will show how can you help yourself by easily designing and code-checking a pre-tensioned beam.

We will start with the export of the selected beam from the SCIA Engineer via an XML file and uploading the structure to the BIM interface. Then the code-check of the reinforced concrete beam with haunches directly in the application BIM will be performed. Because the cross-section won't be able to transfer the applied loads, we use the Beam app to prestress the beam.
Proceed to the export of the failing beam via BIM link to IDEA StatiCa Beam application and use the Tendon module to add prestressing. The combinations will be created automatically with consideration of the load case prestressing. The whole process will be finished with the code-checks according to Eurocode. The results will be explained for the critical sections.
